In the activity around the potential happening of the goods on which it’s focused the attention of the designers and this particular research unit as well, AdvanceDesign  is configured as a systemic process, interdisciplinary that can tackle complex plans thanks to the attitude to recombine tools and competences. AdvanceDesign is the name of our didactic and research unit because in the synthesis of this denomination, intentionally ambiguous, there’s the binding of the two souls of the expression: an “advanced” nature, more concrete and related to evolved projects (Advanced materials, Advanced car design, Advanced Design Studios), and an “advance” nature, more ethereal and oriented to a future where the expression acquire the meaning of advanced, intended as put forward, even progress, anticipation, pre-visioning. In this connotation is highlighted the relation of advance design with future (or plausible) dimension of project.
